Charli and Mirani dressed to go their their year 6 graduation dinnerLast year was Charli's final year of Curtin Primary school. It really is an end of an era for Charli and for myself.. Charli went through Curtin Primary school from Kindy to year 6. Along the journey she had many ups and downs (fortunately more ups than downs). Charli met her best friend Mirani in preschool and their friendship remained strong throughout their years at Curtin and I am sure they will stay friends for the years to come. I also got to meet the most wonderful group of ladies through the school and I am sure we will remain friends for a very long time yet!
Charli will be going to high school this year and after many sleepless nights wondering what school to send her to, we made our decision to send her to a private school. We also decided to send Mikaela there also. I will really miss Curtin Primary, but I feel in my heart that we have made the right decision. Mikaela is a resiliant little girl and I am sure she fit in straight away and make some new lovely friends quickly too. Charli is very excited at the prospect of starting a new school - to make some new friends and start the new chapter in her life afresh..
I am feeling nervous about all these new changes (I don't cope with change very well) but I am sure that once we get into our new routines it will get easier.
Here's to this year and for all the kids that are starting new schools ~ good luck and hope all goes well for them.

OMG, where has your little girl gone??? What a beautiful young woman she is turning into, you must be sooo proud of her.
ReplyDeleteFabian has finished his first year of High School now, and I remember how sad we felt to say goodbye to the Primary School chapter.
The children mature so much in year 7, but it is exciting!!!
Best wishes to both Charli and Miki at their new school. I am sure it's going to be a great year.
Thanks Sylvia! Charli is taller than me now.. I have to keep reminding myself that she is still only 12! Jodie x
ReplyDeleteHi sweetie, long time no chat! Thanks for inviting me, I have MISSED you and your gorgeous girls. I had to laugh at the pic of Charli with her friend - that is just like my Kate towering over all her petite friends LOL She is now 8cm taller than me at 13yo! Congratulations to your big secondary school girl and I hope both Charli and Miki settle in well. Love all the pics, so lovely to see the girls again.
